This week Fresh Air held two incredible events.
Last Tuesday saw the conclusion of the annual Charity Auction. Lots were
sold, (they really were) so many in fact that over £600 was raised for
Waverley Care, which is great! Many thanks to everyone who donated and
participated, it really was a fun and worthwhile event. Shucks guys.

Also last week was the return of Fresh Air Live. The latest showcase was
made up of Found, Roy's Iron DNA and Down the Tiny Steps. As all will
tell you, the gig was exhilarating! Check out the Free Track section of
this week's/ FAN/ to download Plotkiller by headline act Found.

The next Fresh Air Live event is under three weeks away, Indie Club
Together is coming back, keep your ears peeled for more details. Other
live acts which Fresh Air recommends for the up-coming week can be found
in the appropriately named new section of the/ FAN/. One event that
deserves particular mention is the Attic Lights gig at Teviot on Monday
10th March as part of their UK wide tour. Fresh Air is giving away a
pair of tickets to see this Glasgow based Indie-Rock troupe every day
this week. Check out the website from Monday for more details.

As well as a number of specialist shows Fresh Air also plays host to a
number of special relationships, those of On-Air Only Relationships.
This week the FAN wants to highlight two shows whose presenters sound so
good together it makes almost makes you want to go awwww. That or vom
vom vom. Either way, they're very talented, even if they couldn't think
of more original names for their shows.

The Show: The Next Richard and Judy
<http://www.myspace.com/thenextrichardandjudy>
The Time: Thursday 11:00 - 12:00
The Platonics: Fraser Pender and Caroline Robertson
Type of music: "The finest beats and we drop 'em like bombs," Fraser.
Such bombs include Dizzee Rascal, Maccabees, Jay-Z, Kings of Leon, Wham.
Features: 'You say, we play' and "Who's this shizzle!" with bad
impersonations from members of the public and even worse guesses.
The moment they met, and knew that they could definitely NOT go out with
each other: "Our eyes met across the crowded Pollock Halls canteen. We
got talkin', LOLs were had, and the rest as they say is history. It's
strictly a proffessional relationship" Fraser.

The Show: Better than Richard and Judy
<http://ed.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5869194474>
The Time: Tuesday 12:30 - 13:30
The Platonics: Adeel Amini and Sophie Lloyd-Jones
Type of Music: A generally eclectic mix. Cinematic Orchestra, Blonde
Redhead, Sufjan Stevens, Zero 7, Aerosmith, Ben Folds Five, Goldfrapp,
Kings of Convenience, Cat Power.
Features: Sophie's Choice, film reviews, music reviews, mild
affectionate slagging/slagging off. Playing the blonde and Asian cards.
The moment they met, and knew that they could definitely NOT go out with
each other:It was the first day of first year, Adeel eaves-dropped on
Sophie's conversation, and then butted in. They hit it off immediately
and have been inseparable ever since. "Sadly it's like having all of the
relationship stuff and none of the sex," Adeel.
