Hi Everyone, just to clear things up on how everything's going to work with
getting tickets for your shows....
1. What Tickets you can 'expect':
What happens is that for every guest on every show, I request 2 tickets (one
for the presenter, one for the producer) for the show on the night before
the interview. If there's no show on the night before the interview, then
I'll request it a day earlier. For example, that means if you're
interviewing Mr. Blahface on Monday and he doesn't do shows on Sunday, I'll
request the ticket for Saturday night. However, keep in mind that it's still
up to the press offices at the venues, and sometimes they'll say no and
leave us S.O.L.
NOTE: If your show is tomorrow, don't panic -- I've not requested any
tickets for today (wed. 1st). I'll be e-mailing you to talk about what later
date you want to request your ticket. This also goes for guests whose shows
won't haven't started before you interview them -- you'll get an e-mail from
me and a choice. What a rarity.
2. What shows you will go see:
As a presenter/producer, it's YOUR responsibility to look up who you are
interviewing and when their show is playing! (You should be doing this
anyway for the interview.) While I'd love to make schedule it so you can see
all their shows, there's 42 people on the crew and it's just not a
logisitcal reality. SO, if you see that the shows I'm going to get you
tickets for will clash, you need to e-mail me (
festivalreviews at freshair.org.uk) and tell me which one(s) you do want to see
so I can give someone else the opportunity to go see the show. If you're
chatting to someone and decide to swap tickets or pass them along, that's
fine too, but please still e-mail me so I know who to expect the review
from.
If you don't want your tickets, then you can pass on them, and someone else
gets the chance to have them.
3. Picking up your tickets:
There will be a box (exact secret location to be revealed later) in the
studio where you can pick up the approprate ticket for your show. The only
exception to this is shows at the Spiegel Garden -- you'll be guestlisted
there. Again, be responsible and make sure you get your ticket in time.
4. Requesting tickets to other shows:
If there's a show you want to see, check the list on the forum to make sure
that a ticket hasn't already been requested -- if that's the case I can't
request another. But if no one's seen them and they're not due to appear as
a guest, I'll do what I can (sending some schnazzy e-mails, bribery, and all
that jazz) to get you a ticket.
5. Reviews:
You've heard most of this before, and it's in the info pack, but just a
reminder: Get your review in within 24 hours of the show! Cheers!
Hope that clears up most things about tickets, and I'm ready for the flurry
of e-mails.
